Information Notice in accordance with article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and current national legislation on personal data protection

In accordance with the principles contained in the Guidelines on Cookies and Other Trackers  issued by the Luxembourg Data Protection Authority ("Authority" or "CNPD") on 26 October 2021 and pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter, "Regulation" or "GDPR") and current national legislation in force on the protection of personal data (hereinafter, together with the GDPR, the “Privacy Legislation”), Mediobanca International (Luxembourg) S.A., with registered office in Luxembourg, 4 Boulevard Joseph II, L-1840 (hereinafter the “Bank” or the “Controller”), as Data Controller, is required to provide an Information notice on the users’ personal data who access its website.

Cookies

Types of cookies used by this website
This website uses technical (or essential) cookies (falling into the category of "first party cookies”) and does not use cookies that require the user's consent.

Technical cookies are those used purely in order to make a communication on an electronic communication network or to send the supplier information that is strictly necessary to the Bank to provide a service specifically requested by the user.

They are normally installed at the time of access to the website directly by the Controller or website manager. They can be divided up into:

  • Browsing or session cookies: guarantee normal browsing and use of the website; they are, in fact, necessary to the correct website function.
  • Function cookies: enable the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase, etc.) in order to improve the service provided.

Cookies duration
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or a logout command executed. Other cookies “survive” browser closure and are also available at subsequent user visits. These cookies are called “persistent” and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases, an expiry date is set, in others, duration is unlimited.

Processing method
Processing is carried out using automated tools of the Controller. The Bank also discloses personal data where considered necessary in order to fulfil specific obligations for which consent is not required.

Rights of the data subject
Users have the right to obtain from the controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, and to know the contents and source, verify that it is correct or request that it be supplemented or updated (articles 15 and 16 of the GDPR).

Moreover, data subjects shall have the right to request erasure, the restriction of processing, data portability and to complain to the supervisory authority and object, in any case, on legitimate grounds, to its processing (art. 17 et seq. of the GDPR).
